Marion was my second race for the weekend of June 13-14 (Marathon to Marathon Half). I almost missed the packet pick up but got to it as they were closing down. It appeared to be a larger expo and they were collecting donations of all types of shoes. Packet was available for pick up race day but for a cost of $5? There were paces up to time of 3 hours. My goal was to finish because of the half marathon the day before. The first half of the race was through the Iowa country side. The second half was through housing and city. I was able to walk the majority of it. The finish was at a football stadium. The medal was larger than the previous marathon. Parking was available close to the start/finish.
