Maybe I'm biased because I love Madison, but this is the best half marathon and definitely the best Madison has to offer. I think it hits all the great attractions - running through the Arboretum, and then along the lakeshore, to State Street and ending at the Terrace, right on Lake Mendota. The finish line has chocolate milk, which should be a requirement, and the atmosphere at the finish line party was awesome, although slightly close quarters as everyone tries to get in the right line for post-race beer or move around the terrace.
I would recommend and would run again. I was dropped off for the start of the race, but there are plenty of parking garages in close proximity to the start line that parking shouldn't be a problem. Porta potties seemed plentiful and there was good spectators at several points throughout the race, although the course does go through some quieter areas (like the Arboretum).
