This was my 4th year running the half marathon. I feel like this race is super underrated. It is AMAZING!!! It’s run better than most huge marathons, but there are less than 2,000 runners. They have soooo many porta potty’s, several places to pick up packets and race day packet pickup. The start line overlooks the sunrise on the water. The bridge part is tough, but offers a nice view and challenge to get past. The post race food is so good! Better than any of the marathons I’ve run (4) and almost all of the half’s I’ve done (24). There is pizza, beer, bananas, rice, beans, soup, sausage, oranges, cookies, water, etc etc etc. I also love that they give you a water/beer glass at this race!! I will do this one every year if I can.
