Race Day parking- not so fabulous. The lot filled up early! (I got there a little over an hour early and it was packed) There is a library parking lot attached as well as some other lots close by if you want to walk. I snagged a spot at the library, which was perfect!

The expo was okay, it's outdoors in a park, so there were some tents set up and local vendors with things for sale.

The race shirts were not cute at all- a dark burgundy dri-fit shirt with the Iron Girl logo and the sponsor on the front- nothing to write home about. The medals were so cute!

Course Scenery? It's Clearwater Beach- one of the most beautiful beaches in the country, so... pretty fabulous with lots to look at! Depending on the weather that day, you may melt so wear sunscreen. On the day I did it we were blessed with clouds.

The course is fairly "easy," minus the bridges. There are two bridges on your way out and you will cross those same two bridges on your way back. They are long and there is a nice incline, giving your legs a good workout. The bridges are no joke.

Aid stations were well staffed/clearly marked, and filled with water and gatorade. The volunteers throughout the course were cheerful and were a great relief for a first-timer.

I loved everything about this race. Running alongside other women, getting cheered on by people passing me telling me that I was doing great? It was perfect and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
