Jennifer Thiel's thoughts:

This was my first time participating in this race and it was a great way for us to kick off Thanksgiving Day. Since we had a four month old, we walked along and brought our dog which turned out great.

Packet pickup was a little tough for us since the closest Lifetime location is downtown Minneapolis but we were able to get it when we out for brunch the Sunday before. We could have also done packet pickup the morning of but we didn't want to have our four month old outside for longer than we had to be with the race.

Parking was quick and easy (both in and out of the ramp), we parked in Ramp A and walked over ot race start which was maybe five minutes away. It was really easy to find the race start and we got there just as the first wave of runners was starting out. Since we were walking, we had a little wait but it didn't seem that long at all.

Even with the snowstorm the day before, the course was cleared (the stroller didn't have any problems) and we didn't hit any slick spots. It was great to see a lot of other families out with strollers and dogs on the course too.

We didn't stick around for the post-race party since we had the stroller but we walked by and it looked like so much fun. It was a great, family-friendly event and it was an awesome way to introduce Oliver to this tradition (even though he napped most of the way)!
