This was the only Marathon I ran in 2019. After running 3 marathon's in 2018, and having a job that required me to work 13-15 hours a day, I decided a slight break from running was well deserved. I had already gotten into the Big Sur Marathon for April of 2020 (iykyk), so I thought this would be a good warm-up to prepare for the elevation challenges that Big Sur would provide. After all, during the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, the entire course is a slow graded incline run with a starting elevation of 687ft and a finishing elevation of 792ft. There is a slight part around mile 18/19 where you actually get to run downhill for a short time, but not very long.

In general, I wasn't in a good headspace during this run, and I don't remember much of the actual course other than when we ran through Greek Row at Butler University. But being under trained, and mentally gone, I still finished in a 5:12:33 so this could be a good course for a beginner.
