Kate 's thoughts:

I was attracted to this distance (10M, also offered a 5k) and the timing was great with my goal half marathon training. The fee was reasonable and I opted to pay an extra $10 to have my goodies shipped to me. They arrived a week earlier and I was pleas d by the efficiency. The sweatshirt wasn't exactly what I expected (more of a polyester) but I appreciated the effort! I heard through social media that packet pick up was a disaster, so I was extra relieved that I'd paid a bit extra for convenience!
Course was easy to get to and start time was reasonable for the time of year. We parked a bit away, as we weren't confident about access in the park. Plenty of porto-potties (although mine had no TP). Race line up was a bit congested, energy at the start line was average, and announcements, if any, were hard to hear. All in all, the course was a nice, flat, out and back. I like every watching other runners, get energy from that, so I was pleased. The first 1 mile was slow and congested, walkers through 2 or 3 wide. This is my biggest suggestion for improvement - better organization of 5k walkers at the start. There were ample aid stations which were stocked well and water at the finish. No mdals, but mugs for the hot cider. The logistics of the finish line were tricky - you had to cross back across the course to get to cider & photo ops. All in all, a good race, nice distance, beautiful scenery, flat course that could be improved with a race director with an eye for details.
