Started the race with a steady pace, and tried not to push too hard too soon. As expected the course ran through the beautiful scenery of San Diego, and the atmosphere of the event, which was filled with enthusiastic runners and volunteers. The course was challenging, with some hills and a few steep inclines, but I managed to keep going and even picked up the pace towards the end.

The highlight of the event was the finish line, where runners were greeted with hot chocolate, marshmallows, and other treats. I enjoyed the post-race celebration, which featured music, food, and drinks. I appreciated the organization of the event, which provided ample water stations (with Swedish Fish!) and medical assistance if needed.

Overall, I had a positive experience at the San Diego Hot Chocolate Run 15K, and recommend it to anyone looking for a challenging yet fun race.
