The Hot Chocolate 15k & 5k has been the family race for seven years. So proud to share the pavement with my awesome mom, who is back after two total knee replacements and back surgery, and introduce my love for running to new runners.

Expo: Due to the pandemic, the expo was not as large as it was pre-pandemic, but participants were able to taste the hot chocolate that would be waiting for them at the finish line.

Swag: On a scale of 1-10, It's a 10. Instead of a dry-fit T-shirt, this race offers a fleece pullover jacket, perfect for the cool weather on race day. The race day metal is a unique chocolate candy bar design.

Race Day: You don't have to worry about setting aside time for a pre-run warm-up because the parking is about a mile and a half from the starting line. The racecourse included flat surfaces, inclines, and one significant hill.

Recommendation: Run this race; you will not be disappointed.
