One of my absolute favorite half marathons! I first ran the 5k in 2013, and then decided to do the half marathon in 2014 and 2015. The race weekend experience in Kansas city is truly unique for this race. There's a lot of history behind this race, and there's always a cool theme each year for the race. It's easy to see the amount of thought and planning that goes behind this race - from the theme, goodies, expo, race course, finish line, etc - this is what makes this race so successful and makes me want to come back every year! Here's to hoping that I can participate in the 2016 race!
