I've run the 8K the last two years (2013-2014) and this is a great race for Cedar Rapids. It is very well coordinated with a lot of crowd support. I would not recommend the kids races however as those ended up in pure chaos in addition to the same shirt two years running. Not a good way to get future runners excited about the sport.
