So I did this race in 2012 with a few of my running friends. It is a great time. There is a wine festival and the race itself is a 5k or 7 mile option where you run thru a vineyard.
It is an awesome experience. The race itself is slightly hilly. and by hilly I mean mile 4 is a 1 mile long incline. but its worth it.
also there are aid stations on the course which is tricky given its terrain.
For such a small local race it is extremely well organized.
Packet pick up is in a barn, and its a comfy long sleeve cotton shirt. so I could sleep in it.
You get a taste of the local flavor it runs thru 4 vineyards, great scenery.
and when you finish you can jump in grapes.
It is definitely on my top ten favorite races. And my favorite trail race.
