Enelia F's thoughts:

Ran this race in 2022. This was a great race that started and ended at the Orsi Winery in Healdsburg, CA. They mentioned that there were about 1000 runners total between the 5k and half marathon.

I parked in downtown Healdsburg by the grocery store and ran the half mile to the winery. There really wasn't parking at the winery unless you paid for VIP parking. Honestly the run to the winery was not bad at all.

The course is a loop that takes you through beautiful country roads in wine country. The trees got the memo and were showing off their most beautiful colors. The first half of the course is very gentle rolling hills while the second half was a bit more challenging, so plan on saving some energy for the last half. There were water stations roughly every 2.5 miles. The course was well marked and protected from traffic.

My one complaint about the course is that the last third took place on road shoulders that were really sloped for drainage. This really affected my speed as it made running very uncomfortable. Beware if you've got touchy hip flexors!

For swag we got a race check bag, a regular grocery bag, a long sleeve tee, and a medal. We also got some really nice bottles of hand sanitizers and some Dude Wipes.

Post-race there was water, Nuun, granola bars, apples, and Lagunitas hoppy water (non-alcoholic.) There was also a wine festival at the end that you had to pay extra to sample wines from different vineyards. (I did not partake.)

Overall, this was a fantastic race that was very well organized. I will definitely make it part of my annual fall races!
