Dyenna Schedgick's thoughts:

I did run this one week after my 50M but after comparing the elevation from my previous trail races, I wasn't wrong in that it was challenging. Beautiful wooded trails and about 5 miles out in the meadows made for a scenic run.
It's an out and back and you come across the 2 aid stations both ways. It's probably best to carry at least a handheld as the distances were about 6-7 miles apart... especially if you get lost! The trail markers were hard to locate and I did get lost. I may have been the only one who got lost midway but I'm surprised more hadn't. They are brown posts here and there with yellow stickers on them -- in the middle of the woods, among trees with yellow leaves :/ I did mention this to some of the volunteers and they were quick to address where it was and how far I may have gone, etc.
The race director is phenomenal. He does all the races for Badgerland Striders and I've had nothing but great things to say about him. He truly cares about the runners and will go out of his way to make sure the races go smoothly and the runners have all that they need.
The atmosphere of the crowd was a bit cliquey; I believe they all belong to the Striders group. But if you're looking for a challenging trail run on a beautiful course, this is a great option.
