Kelly Tyler's thoughts:

The half marathon was part two of "lumiere's two course challenge," where you complete a 10k on saturday and a half on Sunday.

The morning started at the ESPN sports complex, which was right near the hotel we were at for the weekend (disney's art of animation). The corrals were well setup, the only downside was that once you were in the corrals there were no porter potties. and it was a bit of a hike to get back to where they were located.

There was plenty of on course entertainment on the highway between ESPN and animal kingdom, which we arrived at around mile 6. The course through animal kingdom was nice, and it was really cool to get to run through the park. We stopped at the bathroom in the park, to avoid porter potties on the course.

The group I was running with decided to split up as we left the park and headed towards the finish, so the second half of my race was faster than the first. The road from animal kingdom to epcot was warm, with little to no shelter from the sun. We also passed by the same waste treatment center that the 10k went by.

As you approach Epcot the crowd levels grow, and so does the runners excitement. We ran through epcot and straight through the finish line. As always, rundisney was handing out snack boxes, bananas, and drinks at the finish line.
