You can get great parking if you go early enough! The expo doesn't have as many vendors as I always hope there would be but the vendors that are there are great! As it is Detroit and Detroit does have a reputation for having crime, there are a lot of Detroit and Canadian Police and Boarder Patrol on duty for this race! I have NEVER felt unsafe during this race! Many people would think that during the race they would have to waste time showing their passports or Enhanced drivers licenses and I'll tell you that this is not the case! Your proof of passport is verified when you pick up your BIB and although you have to have it on you during the race I have yet to see someone get stopped to show proof. I will do this race again and again!!
