This was my 3rd half but first run in Detroit. It was very organized for the amount of people who participated but I did not anticipate so many participants. The entire half was curb to curb runners with a lot of people walking. If you are looking for a scenic, fun, touristy type race this would be it!

I was hoping to PR but it was impossible with the crowds of runners who were at my pace walking and stopping to take selfies. So beware! It does get backed up at the bridge and tunnel, unless you want to weave through the walkers.

Otherwise, I enjoyed my run and it’s a perk to run across the boarder and back. Just make sure you have your passport or enhanced license on hand while crossing. Border patrol was friendly and even cheered us on.

Fun race, easy race. I hope to run the full in the future.
