Registration: Easy online registration, cheap price for a race. Disclaimer: I received a free entry for being a vendor.
Expo: Packet/shirt pickup the day before the race. I picked up my packet day of. They were out of a lot of shirt sizes but the line was really short and no other issues.
Photos: Still searching online for these. I saw a few photographers on the course but didn't know where they were from. No info on the facebook page or website yet.
Course: Pancake flat with a baby hill at mile 2. Mostly residential but tree lined with lots of shade and it was really pretty. Tons of cheer zones and lots of crowd support.
Aid stations: 2 on course all with water. Seemed a little chaotic but no major bottlenecking.
Medal/swag: Cotton t shirt, goodie bag with lots of flyers and stuff. I didn't know there was a medal until day of and it was simple but cute.
Food: Pulled pork that smelled AMAZING crossing the finish line. However, who eats pork at 8 am? There were also pretzels, bananas, and rice krispy treats.
Parking: Lots of parking but it was a bit of a hike from the start line.
I was nicely surprised by this race. I wasn't expecting a whole lot but it was really organized, for a good cause (PAL and for the memorial of an officer killed in action, and the elementary school), and good to get away from the city for a run. I will definitely consider doing this one again!
