Expo: I did not expect much from a smaller race (half capped at 400), but there were several vendors and I even got a few trinkets from my kids - which is always a win! Plus there was a great wall for photo ops.

T-Shirt: Long sleeve technical t-shirt. High quality- Love the design.

Course: The course starts off on a path around the lake. It was perfect! The weather for the race was between 50 and 60 to start and leaves were changing. I could not ask for a more peaceful start of a run. You do run a few miles on the streets, which was not great, but overall I loved this course. There were not many spectators, but those that were there were extremely enthusiastic and the course itself was relatively flat (one or two minor hills).

Aid Stations: There were plenty of aid stations, water stops and even a stop with gels.

Distances: The race had a half, a 26K and marathon all finishing at the same spot- this made a slower running like me fell more included.

Overall, this is actually one of my favorite MN races and I would definitely recommend it for someone who enjoys nature, plus the medal is fun!
