Jennifer Zenuch's thoughts:

This is one of my all time favorite half marathons. It's very small and locally run by people who just love to run and eat (and eat and eat some more). There is so much good food post race. Seriously. So. Much. FOOD. There was fried chicken, fried catfish, jambalaya, gumbo, pulled pork BBQ sandwiches, and more. And then there were coolers of water, sodas and beer. It's just a good, fun, local race.

Pros:
- Did I mention all the amazing food at the finish???
- Good price point for a half or full.
- Really nice race technical t-shirt. It's one of my faves.
- Marathoners also get a pair of fun chicken socks.
- The medal was really cute = Crazy, running chicken. (The chicken theme is on all the race swag)
- Small, locally run race. No dodging and weaving of people.
- Beautiful, scenic course around the LSU lakes.
- Flat, fast course. Good for a PR.

Cons:
- Not a lot of race support. It's a very small race.

Neutral but notable:
- No race expo - just packet and t-shirt pickup. They have race morning pick up so that's a plus.
- The marathon course is a double loop.
