This was one of the smaller races I've done. Pre-race communication was great. The week before they sent out several reminders (highlighting the fact that the race was in EST - pretty close to CST time zone). There wasn't an expo for the race, rather you had the option to pick up your bib and t-shirt the night prior at the town block party or day of. I opted for night before just so I was set. The pick up was quick and the block party was pretty busy.

There was ample race parking and it was only about 1/4 mile from the start/finish area. Super easy to find and quick to get to the race. The start line was well marked and for the size of the race it had ample porta pots at the start.

Race pluses:
*Very scenic
*Great for those who like nature, I ran with no headphones and just enjoyed the sounds of nature
*Aid stations about every 1 1/2 miles, including one with GU
*Challenging course, several rolling hills and a solid climb around mile 8
*In addition to the medal at the end they gave out wine glasses
*Wine and beer at the finish

Deltas:
*I didn't see many potties along the course, lots of fields if that works for you
*Little shade, we got lucky with the cloud cover. It could have been a rough one otherwise
*Not a lot of crowd support, if you need that I'd seek out a bigger race
*The roads are not completely closed, but I'm pretty sure there were a max of 5 cars that passed runners on the route
*The start/finish were in a grassy area, a bit uneven which can be scary.

I really liked this race, I love quiet/scenic runs so this was definitely a great experience.
