I am a fan of All Community Events in general. The races are always well organized, usually have race day packet pickup, and are relatively inexpensive. I enjoyed this race because it was a nice way to get other family members involved in some holiday activity: 5K is an easy distance to coerce non-runners into running. It was a nice lakefront course that provided a great opportunity for a 5k PR! I don't recall water stops during the race, but I don't usually hydrate in such a short race. The post race food was abundant! Lots of bars and snacks. And, if anyone needed a coffee or hot chocolate there was a food truck there with hot beverages for purchase.
