The Seaside Half was an amazing low key race with almost all 13 miles along the gorgeous California coast. The packet pickup was at a Sports Authority the day before and we were in and out in minutes. Arriving early to pick up before the race would probably have worked out as well.

It was a quick and easy drive from the Los Angeles area and the race started right on time. The path was fairly thin but a wave start meant that there was not a ton of congestion. It is an out and back course which I am a huge fan of for the half marathon distance and there were aid stations with water and a sports drink every 1-1.5 miles and gu at a few stations. The race was chip timed and the finish line had coconut water, regular water, and some snacks. Results also were posted very quickly.

The race packet included a tech shirt, water bottle, tote bag, some coupons, energy drinks, and coconut water. For a fairly small and affordable race it's very well run and a fantastic experience! They do several races throughout the year and I highly recommend them.
