This mission of Tri Goddess Tri is to give women "of every ability" the chance to experience, and succeed, at a triathlon...and Epic Races totally delivers! Every email is answered by Eva herself, and the whole team at Epic is the most supportive and friendly I have ever encountered at any race (including the Detroit Half-Marathon). Here is one experience I had yesterday:
"I'd like to send a huge Thank You to the awesome "goddess" who stopped her progress during the biking portion of the tri yesterday to help me put my chain back on my bike. I was at mile 3.5 when the chain slipped off and I panicked. She was coming the other direction, and jumped off her bike to see what was wrong. When I told her to keep going because she was being timed, she said, "I don't care about the time." That is sooooo goddess-worthy. I wish I could remember her bib number (248?? 284??), but if you are reading this, please know that I am sending you a "virtual" bouquet of flowers. That is just one example of what made this race so special. If anyone knows who she is, please let me know so I can thank her personally."
This is just one example of how special this race is. Not all triathlons can be like this, but every first-timer should be lucky enough to experience one as great as this!
