The Women's Half Marathon is a great run through the cities of Scottsdale and Tempe. It's an all terrain type of course: Downtown Scottsdale has a few cobbled spots; there's a section along the canal path which is unpaved, and there are the overpass "hills" of Center and Curry roads. The weather is great in AZ this time year. It's perfect for running, cool mornings and sunny finishes! The aid stations were pretty rockin' -- shout out to the Luna Chix for energy I needed during the last 5k section.

This is a bus to the start type of race, so you have to prepare enough time for the extra transportation. The buses were frequent and time flew by pretty quickly.

The all women's race makes for a really supportive and fun run. The technical shirts are bright pink in color and are comfortable for long runs. The race bag is a durable quality reusable grocery bag; it's withstood the last 6 months of frequent use. The expo was smaller but big enough to get a good bit of shopping in before the run. The staff was really helpful with answering my questions and concerns.
