Snuck away from a business trip Atlanta to make it down for the race. Worst thing is the distance from anywhere Albany is but its also what made it such a great weekend. The best small race expo that had an energy and was super organized. Tons of excited people in a small area actually elevated the energy.

The race course was nothing special but the volunteer support was off the chart. I'm really impressed how they had every curve or corner manned with volunteers. A few major intersections and the Police had the traffic completed controlled.

Nice finish down by the river. Not sure about the announcer but he did a great job. Beer was great and relaxing on the levee in the southern sun was epic. Don't forget to hit the great BBQ place downtown for a couple plates of everything.

If you were to ever only do one marathon this is it! To get to run this route with this support and alongside some of these runners is a treat! Do it! Everything is perfectly planned and executed. From registration lottery to packet pickup to the starting line and finish. There is no better race. Remember to enjoy the journey on this one. The monuments, marines, crowds...there is not a better way to see DC!

Here's another must do race. Great scenery to get to run through the museum grounds and onto the Air Force base. Nice support in the cheer zone of the town and then back on base around the airfield. The finish was very cool to get to run among the historic plans and the crown support at the finish was great.

Great smaller race. Nice flat course and interesting scenery.
