The SFM will always be near and dear to my heart for being my first full marathon. I thought to myself, if I could do the SF Marathon, I could do any. And although the elevation profile was intimidating, being out on the course it felt much more manageable... and it was! It so happens that I LOVE SF as well so running over the Golden Gate, through the Park, the Embarcadero and past AT&T Park was the best city tour I could have asked for. When I go back to SF on business now, I drive the same streets that I ran on and get butterflies for all the emotion surrounding that fabulous race and course. This is one of those races you have to do AT LEAST once. The race management was fantastic, the course support and people cheering you on were great, the views were amazing, and the medal is one of my favorites, very classy looking ... I can't wait to run it again in 2014.
