This was a great race and experience form beginning to end. The race expo is amazing, but I recommend getting there early because most of the merchandise was selling out. Race day was full of energy even with the cold temps. Indy does a really good job of getting residents to come out and cheer for racers. Aid stations were plentiful, just need more portalets at them as most has lines that were 10-15 people deep throughout the entire course. Course was easy and gave a nice tour of Indy including Butler's campus. Lots on course photographers as well. Post race fuel was abundant even for the back of packers. Highly re comment this for a first time marathon as well as a BQ

Great race is you want to visit Louisville and see what the derby craze is about. While I really enjoy the race, the expo might be my favorite part. I have run the Full and Half Marathon distances, but I am reviewing the 13.1 since it is my favorite of the two. The course is a nice tour around historic downtown as well as a little turn through Churchill downs. Aid stations are always full of exciting people, but later runners do tend to get hot drinks. The after race is also a great time with lots of vendors and plenty to do around the finish line area. Can you believe I had sch a good time just taking it all in, I didn't get one photo. Also the new medal series is an absolute must for anyone from Louisville!
