This was the first year that I participated in this race so it was hard to know what experience I would receive. I was beyond happy with the experience I had along with the awesome swag. The packet was received before race day and included a lot of quality/awesome swag. The shirt was of good quality, designed well and fit perfectly. I'm always worried about size and if it would fit well and it did. They also included a buff, bib and a drawstring bag. I was happy to see a buff especially with everything going on. Last but not least a heavy duty medal. Some races cheap out with the medal but this was heavy and of good quality. I'm happy to be able to put this medal on my medal rack and be proud of my accomplishment.

I came out to this race due to the Olympic Trials so might as well race. I really liked how each races paired with each other. I was a little disappointed in the race expo shop as there wasn't much items. I would think it would have been a opportunity for the organizers to make a lot of money which I would have loved to spend. The expo overall was good, I think they could have had more vendors. There were some awesome activity and special sessions just for the olympic trials. The morning of the race I would have liked if they had more port a johns in some areas, they were all of the area but some where hard to get to before the race. I was a little disappointed in the corrals as they were chaotic and hard to find the pacers. The race was amazing. It was one of the most challenging course but the people were amazing and helped me reach my goal. The medal was really cool and had some olympic vibes. I would definitely suggest coming as the weather was perfect and city was amazing.

This was my first RNR San Antonio. I have participated in RNR since 2017. I decided to get the tour pass and add this race into my race schedule. I kind of know what to expect from the race and expo. Unfortunately I have seen a decline in the race around the US. This expo was one of the better ones I have been to, especially since they brought Des Linden, which was awesome to meet. I was disappointed in the shirt as in 2019 they changed vendors from Brooks to their own brand and they aren't as nice. In addition the sizing was off so mine is way to big. The morning of the race was chaotic, as the corrals weren't managed and was free for anyone to get into whatever corral they want. It was nice that the expo conference center was open so I was able to use the restrooms. I'm not sure if that was planned or not. The course was pretty cool but there were some not so safe area. I was disappointed that we didn't go around the alamo as that is a landmark in SA. Finish line was great, it was awesome to be in our own finish line but since there were two finish lines because of the full we got bottle necked and someone almost ran into me. Medal was cool and there were some awesome picture areas after the race. I really like this medal, better than my hot dog medal from RNR Chicago.

By far my favorite RNR race and I have ran 5 different ones. The main attraction was running at night on the Vegas strip. The night concert was moved to Saturday which was the best decision as I was able to enjoy the whole concert. In addition we were able to get a guest into the concert which was really nice. The expo was pretty big but like other RNR not a ton of vendors. I was disappointed in the participant shirt. RNR used to give us brooks and now they switched to another vendor that isn't as good quality. Their RNR shop didn't have much stuff to buy because they sold out quickly so if you go to the expo go the first day to be able to buy items. The location of the expo was great because there were various ways to get to the expo. The night of the race was chaotic. We were told to get to the staging area a hour prior which sucked but they had a band and restrooms for runners. Going into the section staging area was easy, they checked to make sure you had the right color bibs but not the corral within that color. Once we got into the strip the corrals weren't managed so that was also chaotic like other RNR races. My biggest worry was the course being crowded. After the first mile it wasn't bad, I didn't run into many people while I did my run/walk. Overall it was a great race and would love to do it again. This is a race you don't want to miss.

I was part of the inaugural Hot Chocolate OKC 15K. I was excited to see this in OKC so I don't have to drive to Dallas each year. I have participated in HC Dallas twice prior to it coming to OKC. I was disappointed in the expo as HC Dallas has more vendor but also had HC gear that we could buy. I did like how we could try on the participant item before leaving as sizing was a little off. In term of the race it was a smaller race but I really liked how many pacers they had and organization of the corrals. The course was part of the OKC Marathon so there were definitely some challenging part. I think the only issue I had was someone was trying to drive on the course which made me questioned my safety. Luckily nothing happened but could had. The course was easily to follow and finish line festivals was good. I love the medals for these race, I was a little disappointed because this year they changed it so the medal itself wasn't specific to the city rather just the ribbon. I always liked HC for having medal specific to the location even though they are all over the US. I'm hoping the medals are better for 2020 and expo too.
