This race was so much fun! Running around White Rock Lake is challenging with the rolling hills but so beautiful. The swag was amazing which I was totally expecting because Dallas puts on some stellar races. My favorite part was that race participants were some of the first to see their famous pumpkin patch! If youve never experienced it, this race is a great time to do so! Highly recommend!

The Irving marathon was my second marathon so my anxiety was super high. I had an extremely long training cycle; longer than usual, so I was ready to get the race over and done with! It was a nice start, still cool outside and the live music created a fun atmosphere. The course was an out and back for a half marathon so for the full we had to do 2 “laps”. At the turn around, no one was there to tell us where exactly to turn around. I turned around at what looked like the point based on how the cones were set up but I then heard someone yelling at me to keep going so I was a little frustrated as I went out for round 2. At the next aid station I needed water because my hydration belt was running low. The first station was out of cups and so we couldn’t get water. The next one was out of water. And at this point, it was extremely hot and no where on the course had shade. The further out we got, the more lonely it felt. There were no officials or anyone out on the course to make sure we were ok. So it was a strange and scary feeling. I would never run this course again but hope they can improve for the future races! I wish them the best.

I absolutely loved this race! Not only was the atmosphere SWEET (see what I did there), but the course was fun! It was a big race with lots of runners. The competition was perfect too and everyone was friendly. The swag was probably one of the best I’ve had. You received hot chocolate and other treats at the finish. The medal is by far the coolest one! Or should I say sweetest one? But all in all, a super fun must-do race!

The Dallas marathon is an absolute must. There’s no other way to put it. From the expo to the fans cheering you on, the overall experience is an A+! This was my first marathon and I couldn’t think of a better one to participate in. It definitely set the bar high for race experiences. The only downfall is I think I’m a race snob since that day. But maybe that’s not a bad thing? There was plenty of water and aid along the entire course which i loved. I felt super safe the whole time and was never alone. Fans literally lined the course from start to finish. Kids were handing out cookies and water in front of their houses. It was amazing. There were also people handing out shots of beer at one point in the race but that wasn’t my thing. The swag was awesome. We got a general race shirt, sweet medal, and a cool finishers medal. To top it off, we also got a race-specific finishers shirt which I LOVE!

The cowtown is definitely one for the books. The course is tough and the elevation is even tougher, but you have to try it at least once! The race is organized extremely well and the medals are AWESOME! There are plenty of fans, officials, aid stations, and scenery. It takes you on a beautiful run through Fort Worth and let me tell you, it’s amazing. Running through the stockyards was my favorite part of the entire race! I’m Texan, and I felt like a tourist because I was so happy at the sights. I can’t wait to return to that race!
