This was my first road half and I loved it! It was a fast course, the weather was perfect and it was really fun with the Halloween theme. I will definitely run this again! Great for first timers, or someone looking to PR! Read my full review and recap at 262.run!

My brother ran the 2nd half marathon (there are two half marathon options) and he had a great experience! It was his first half ever! It was a bit pricey for his taste, but the race provided lots of swag so that was a nice plus. Read the recap Q&A on my blog!

This was my first RocknRoll race and I loved it! Makes me want to do more races by them. I had a tough race dealing with IT band pain, yet even dealing with that I had a great experience! The course has rolling hills, so it helps to be prepared. The aid stations and volunteers were wonderful and I met Meb! I really have no complaints when it comes to the organization of the race at all! Read my full face recap here! https://262.run/2019/06/05/rocknroll-san-diego-marathon-june-2019/

The tagline for this race is 'a beautiful challenge' and I think that's appropriate. It's a cool course, with great spectators, good aid stations and really easy start and finish line areas as far as transportation. There are a lot of hills, and Utah is almost at 5000 feet so if you train at sea level, don't expect a PR. The finish line wasn't as fun as I hoped, but that's really the only bad thing I have to say. Great race! I would run it again for sure. This race had over 500 feet elevation gain, but overall is was very drab. For a large part of the race your running along the shoulder of the road which isn’t the greatest. The organization of the race was fine, and shirt is as good as any other race shirt, the medal is fantastic, the host hotel was wonderful, the post-race snacks were lacking, and the spectators were minimal. Doing this race once was cool (since I grew up in the area), but I don’t see myself coming back. I read that they will be changing the course this year, so I am a bit curious what it will be like. If I read amazing things, maybe I’ll find myself back there in 2020.
