I have run this race multiple times. Love it! There is plenty to do after the race, be sure to stick around for food ,games and music. There is plenty to do at the Steelstacks itself. You can tour an old furnace which also chronicals the history of the Steel Mill.
The race itself winds around the Steelstacks and out across the Fahey Bridge and at the end of the bridge you are treated to German music and dancers. You then continue on make a left and are running on a trail, where you turn around and head back across the bridge to the Steelstacks to the finish line. Make sure to wear you German finest!

This was my second Hershey Half Marathon and was a great experience. Race day started with rain, yes it rained on our parade! After conversing with friends in the stadium we went to the start. You first wind around the stadium and through the long parking lot. The next stop is in Hershey Park and little hills, and winding road. The race heads out through the town. This year the course was a little different from 2017. We went on a dirt path which took us to my favorite part, Hershey School. What a reception! Students are out with high fives and music is playing.
My second favorite is the chocolate on none other than Chocolate Ave. You are now heading back to the park. This year we did not have to run the long path through the parking lot! You head into the stadium and there is the finish line where you are greeted with a medal and lunch box full of chocolate!
