As a Florida local, I have the good fortune of running many Disney races and the Star Wars Half is a solid option. I recommend it for any Disney fan, but especially for a Star Wars junkie. The medal is, to this day, one of my favorites, and the shirts are great too. The expo is straight forward, and well run. There is no confusion as to where you need to go and there are plenty of staff members and volunteers on hand to answer any questions you may have. The expo is a great opportunity to take some character photos and grab some merch. These items often sell out and are not available at the finish line, so if you like something, grab it while you can!
Race morning is extremely early, but transportation can be confusing and traffic will be heavy so give yourself PLENTY of time to get there and settled in your corral. There are characters at the start line too, so you'll want extra time to snap a few more pics. The course is flat, but I wouldn't call it fast. This race is full of first timers and large groups. It is extremely congested. Disney is not a race that you plan to PR. You pay dearly to run it, so enjoy running through the parks and take advantage of character photo stops. The finish lines are really wonderful and well produced. You feel like you are breaking the tape even if you ran a 5 hour half! The medals are GORGEOUS and Disney is extremely well run and organized. Photos are easy to access with your race bib and the My Disney Experience app but they are NOT free- so invest in a photo pass if race photos are important to you.

I would highly recommend this race for first timers, families, friend groups, and anyone who loves Star Wars!! It's a lot of fun to take your time, relax, and soak it all in :)

As a lifelong Disney fan, this race had long been on my bucket list. I dreamed of the day I would run down main street and in 2018, I finally got my chance as part of the Goofy Challenge! I must say, the race exceeded my expectations and fully lived up to my wildest dreams.
Starting from the moment I picked up my bib at the expo, I was immersed in pure magic. The volunteers and staff members all seemed genuinely excited and were kind and well informed. The expo was full of great vendors, unique merchandise, and even fun photo ops! I could have easily spent more time there and would plan for at least a half day in the future. There is so much to see and do and so many freebies!
Race morning is always hectic and Disney is no different. The weather was bitterly cold and the wake up call comes extremely early. However, Disney does a great job with on site transportation to the starting line and has very clear instructions for those who drive in. Once you are in the corrals, surrounded by your fellow runners, the emcees and DJs do a great job keeping you entertained with fun trivia, interviews, and music. There are characters too! Each corral goes off to a small fireworks show!!
Once on course, Disney provides constant entertainment and support. I have nothing bad to say! Sometimes character lines can be long, so pick and choose who to see. I made it a point to see the more unique characters but skipped those that are usually available in park.
Running down Main Street was the most magical moment of my life. Even the parts of the race that were less scenic, had some type of entertainment or something to look forward to. The last mile around Epcot was so emotional and had the perfect music. Crossing that finish line, receiving my beautiful Medal, and one of a kind ears, was one of the best memories I will ever have.
I will say that this may not be a race for those who want to go fast. This is the friendliest race around and there are many new runners on course. It's great to chat for a few miles and hear everyone's stories.
This is an expensive race and the vacation itself to even come to the race is usually a tremendous investment. However, if you are a Disney Fan- it's a must do. Flawless race management, once in a lifetime course, gorgeous medal, and quality race swag make this a MUST DO!

To all who come to this Happy RACE, Welcome!

I ran the Rock N Roll San Diego as my first full marathon back in 2017 for the anniversary. All in all, I loved my experience. San Diego is a beautiful city with lots of opportunities to make a racecation out of your trip. The weather could not have been better- perfect low 70s. As you make your way through the various neighborhoods, you will meet the lovely folks of San Diego. They truly come out to support. Many homes had bars set up and other kinds of food/beverage and crowd support. I had so many snacks, gave sweaty hugs, and even took a shot or 2!! Lots of adorable kids and fun signs lined the streets. It was a truly immersive experience and I strongly recommend that you slow down and enjoy this race. The first half of this course is excellent. In fact, I would probably only run the half in the future. The back half has many hills and the last 3-4 miles on the freeway are GOD AWFUL!! This would be a great race to negative split- conserve in the front and enjoy the fun and then run FAST through the end!
In my option, Rock N Roll always puts on top notch events. Plenty of aid stations, a lively expo, and fun finish line. None of the race perks are extensive, but they are more than sufficient and the staff members are always helpful.
The medal was good but not great. The shirt was awful. However, I really enjoyed the finisher's jacket and that made the full worth it. At the end of the day, I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to run this race and I would run it again, although probably just the half this time.

RnR Vegas was my first half marathon, and I could not be happier that it was!! My first 13.1 experience began at the expo. Th expo was large, organized, and had tons of vendors. It was a party atmosphere and I could have easily spent several hours there. At the expo, we picked up our bibs and our shirts. The shirts were just alright. On the whole, I am not a fan of RnR shirts. But they have some other cute gear available for purchase and lots of freebies.
Getting to the starting line was very challenging as I was local at the time. However, I'm sure that a tourist could easily just hop on the bus. If you arrive via private car, make sure to plan for a few extra miles. The concert the year that I attended was Snoop Dogg and he was AWESOME! After the party, it was time to run!! This course is unmatched!! It's flat, fast, and right down the Las Vegas strip. There was even some crowd support. As you cross the finish line, you feel like a celebrity. The medal is consistently cute and the post race beer is good too!
I think that most runners would really enjoy this race and should put it on their bucket list!
