This was a fun 5k with hills in all the right places. I loved it and ran one of my fastest 5k's in years. It is a popular race so arrive early to get your swag. I picked up my bib to race and waited until after the race to pick up my shirt and that worked out great! I didn't have to go back to my car to put anything away! I loved it! The lines for bib pick up were long so get there early.

This course had the best weather, on an early May Day. The tough miles (the miles with hills) have really fun water stations. I think the hills are perfectly placed on this course. The sunrises consistently around mile 6 for me, right as I'm running along the coast so I can't complain. The legacy swag was a to go cup that was very cute. The shirt is a pink fitted tech shirt for Women. The shirts come in Men's sizes and Women's. The expo has a lot of vendors. I tried some air compression machine, and vibration pulse massage. They also sell Honey Stinger, and have Honey Stinger on course, which is a plus for me!

I used parking this year and took the shuttle. They don't check your bib so you can go to any shuttle. It was so easy, and dropped me off right before the half start time. If you want to buy parking at the expo for Race Day--->make sure to take cash to the expo!

I ran the 5 K and it was so awesome. The beginning is a little bit crammed, because so many people get in on this race. It spreads out quickly because the hills are challenging.
Bib Pick Up:
You can pick up your bib the day before or morning of. There was a line the morning of but I got my bib and back to my car in 15 minutes. The day before does offer food, which who doesn't like to carb up!
Race:
Tough course, but the energy is so fun!
Swag:
Everything is themed to which ever year it is, example, it was the year of the pig so the theme was pig! I love everything about this race!

EXPO: They trap you in the expo and make you walk circles before you can exit. Lines can be long, but overall they offer a lot of vendors. I guess I should put the good things first, but I want you to be prepared before you read all the great things. There are lots of samples, and great expo prices to other local races, which I love! You also have to pick up your bib and shirt ahead of time so prepare for that, you can not do race day pick up.

Parking: You have to pay for parking at the expo, which is kind of lame because if you are just trying to pick up your bib and shirt it sucks to pay more money to get this. I have never used the shuttle here so I can not comment on that.

Race Day: They have a wave start, which I personally love. You get to pick and assign yourself to a time you plan on running. The course does get challenging and hilly towards the end, but I love it, they have a ton of cheer stations on the biggest hill. You run through a neighborhood, which could be boring, but everyone that lives on that street comes out and gives out fruit and waters. It really is a community feel at this race.
