2017 We went to the expo the day before the race which was nice, they had a lot cool photo opts. Many hotels to choose from that are close by. This race a bucket list for me lived up to its name.
As soon as I passed the start line it seemed as if the hills started, they were tough for me at times but the beautiful scenery and all the supporters made me focus on something other than the difficult time I was having. It got easier for me about mile 6. You get to see the beautiful park actually run through it downhill. Streets with trees canopies that are absolutely gorgeous. If you like your hooch the supporters will make sure your taken care of with that too as they start handing out shots, jello shots and beer. The aide stations were not clogged up, you got it and went lots of volunteers. What a great place!
After the race was over we had to hike up a big hill to get back to the hotel, which we got to cheer the other runners on as they passed. I will definitely be doing this race again!!
