The management nor the people running the show care for the runners. They care for is taking peoples money and giving little in return. When you tell them how it is unfair, they come back and personally attack you to make their point. FOLKS, there are better races out there that qualify you for Boston.

ME: Dave, "that is the best time that I have ran so far. if I am unable to enter the LCBQ then I will understand I will try and work on a better time with another race and try again."

Dave: Since you did not have a qualifying time In order to register you entered a false result. Under the race rules and in our waiver you agreed to we are removing you from the LCBQ registration database.
Me: my intentions was never to enter false results. the site was confusing as it asked for my best time,and then asked for what I need to quality for BQ. How does the refund work at this point?

Dave: There is no refund Dru, you agreed to that and the site is VERY specific about entering a result that is false. If you want to run Fox Valley the next week we can offer a transfer into that but that is your only option. I would need to know if you wish to do that right away.

Me: Well first off. SOMEONE need to update the website with clear instructions.
Your website asked me for my best time and what age I am and what I would need to qualify for BQ. for which I have entered the data.I have to shave off 30 mins which is doable, but guess I will not be doing it with LCBQ. I cannot run Fox Valley this yr. so Transfer it for 2019. that be great tks.

Dave: It’s crystal clear on our website going on over 5 years now. Youwould have had to check this box and agree to the following when you registered. In order to register you had to falsify your entry. You cannot transfer to 2019, the offer is only for this year. Considering you took a spot away from a qualified runner we feel this is more than fair. Since you don’t want to do Fox Valley we wish you the best in your future races and are finished here.

ME: I have another marathon in SEPT. IF your company is so considerate of OTHER RUNNERS then you should start a back up list that way others can get into it when YOU decides who runs and who does not.I would not speak of what is FAIR if I were you. As asking to run 2019 is FAIR.. Not running races when YOU feel its best for me.I was referred to your website by other runners who had good experience with LCBQ, but obviously that isn't true for all. I will update other potential runners and share my experience and YOUR behavior.

Dave: Dru, you should be ashamed of yourself for lying about your entry requirements. We have offered more than we should have despite your attempt to cheat to get into LCBQ. There are plenty of other races our there that would be a better fit for you although we do notify other race directors of runners who cheat or attempt to cheat. Please do not register for any of our races again.

The first 2 miles were through the tunnel, from there on it was all down hill. Great scenery, well put together aid stations. would def recommend this race to others. It was an awesome experience that I tell all my friends about it when they ask what was my favorite race.
it is a point to point race and as you run along the course there are rock climbers who swing down to the course. Along the way plenty of waterfalls to see and run over bridges.

Awesome Race.. it was my second and I came 3 in my age group I was thrilled :). The course was beautiful I did not know it yet but I ended up doing this race 2x. as I wanted to get a better time.. I rem just laying down at the end of the race on the grass as it had wiped me out but what an amazing race. If it was still at independent grove, I would recommend it to all.. It is unfortunate they they have moved it but still Great people to deal with, Great turn outs and just an perfect race.

My first ever race and what a beautiful day it was.. it was a tough race but I finished and I was thrilled. It is one of the races that I still remember ever after 5 yrs and I talk about it like it was just yesterday. I was such an amateur running it thinking its "ONLY" a marathon not realizing that it is 26.2miles.. thinking more like 10 miles no big deal. Longest run I had done before this was 7miles. at Mile 16 I hit the wall. At mile 18 I can feel like my leg was going to detach and I am going to see it fly in front of me and that will be the end of me. It hurt so much and I remember texting my family how or why I had signed up for this. Some how i got through and I came to the finish line. I did not know it but it started me on the journey to 50 state marathon and also ended up doing Kenosha Marathon 3 time until I stopped so I can focus on other marathons. I do take the time when I can to volunteer at this race. Great people, Lots of support staff and volunteers. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to start or get into becoming a marathoner.
