The 13th annual Moss Park Forest Running festival took place on July 21st, 2018 in Orlando, Fl. It consisted of runners choosing to run a 5k, 10k, or a 15k (a.k.a distance dare). I decided to sign up for the 10k a week before the race. There was no expo beforehand. Runners picked up their packet at 6am at the venue and the 10k started at 7am. The 5k started at 8 am and those who ran the 15k would run the 10k 1st and then run the 5k with the 5k runners. There were about 250 runners. The award ceremony was at 9 am. Parking was easy to get to and free.

The race was mostly shaded as it was through a forest. It was so beautiful to run though. Trail running is challenging as there were so many obstacles out that could trip you. I leaped over many holes, tree branches and even bunnies. I saw lots of beautiful wild life while on the trail also. There were many water stations present and I never felt the need to even carry my own water with me because there were so many aid stations. There were only water available, no Gatorade or snacks or anything on the course, which was odd because on there website they claimed that they would have gels served on the course.

After the finish line there was plenty of food for everyone, gels, and water. They had a box of unripe green bananas also that I saw people grabbing and eating, which was just strange to see. They also had bread, peanut butter, jelly, and fruits.
They did not hand out the medals at the finish line and we had to go searching around to ask someone where the medals and shirts were for some reason. We eventually did get them before leaving. The shirts were cotton and definitely not a dry shirt as what was said on their website. But the medals were really nice and good quality.
