I ran/walked this with my wife and three children (ages 8,10,14) in Charlotte, NC today. Here's my take on the Pros and Cons...

PROS:
- It's a family-friendly environment, and our kids had a great time.
- The announcer was energetic and did a great job keeping the masses moving.
- The volunteers we encountered were super friendly and helpful.
- Two water stations on the course and another one at the finish.

CONS:
- $10 parking fee on top of the race registration. And the parking attendants place a sticker on your windshield which leaves a gunky residue behind after removed.
- One of the inflatables was actually a DEflatable. It was completely inoperable, so everyone had to just bypass it.
- All of the inflatables had dried mud on them and at least one had a filthy mud puddle on one side of it. I'm guessing the previous race had been somewhere in the rain, but why didn't they hose them off before today's race?
- The T-shirts are the worst race shirts I have ever seen at a running race. Basically a white undershirt with screenprint logos.
- No snacks after the finish.

The reason I give this only two stars is because all of the "Pros" listed above should be components of EVERY 5K, especially ones that travel the nation. The "Cons" were just too much of a disappointment to be able to recommend this race with integrity.
