T-shirts/SWAG: This year due to lack of sponsors they did not offer shirts with the entry. I opted to not purchase ahead, but I was able to buy one at the "expo." I did like the shirts they had to offer so I purchased one. Instead of shirts, they gave out hats which are nice & lightweight for running. I personally prefer a tech shirt or even a drawstring bag or backpack.

Aid Stations: There was aid stations every 1-2 miles. Plenty of volunteers handing out gatorade and water. I believe there was gels at maybe one station but I did not look since I carried my own. I was very appreciative of this considering the weather was not so pleasant (rainy and overcast). There was also plenty of volunteers along the course to direct.

Course Scenery/Elevation: This is a 2 loop course. You are on a few long roads which loop around a couple neighborhoods and one park. There are two bridge crossings so a total of four times you will cross over the bridge. The last one will hurt since it's around mile 25. Other than the bridges it is a relatively flat course. The only thing to note is the weather in Florida in February can be sporadic. You can have either warm muggy conditions or wet cold windy conditions. On this particular morning it was wet and muggy.

Expo Quality: Very small expo with maybe around 6-8 vendors set up with tables selling their product. There are no "freebies" though. I think you may find this a common theme with a lot of these smaller races which is basically due to COVID.

Parking/Access: I can't comment on this too much since we stayed at a hotel which was about 1/2 mile from the race, so we walked. The race does offer some hotel discounts so we took advantage of that. However from what I remember there was free local parking (but limited) on side streets and also a parking garage nearby with a $5 fee. So I don't think parking would be an issue since this race was fairly small (about 1,500 total including marathon, half, 10k and 5k).

Race Management: I think the race was managed well with a few hiccups. For example, on their website it said start time 6:10 am but then throughout their communication they said 6:20 am. Then the race was pushed back to about 6:40 am anyways. However they had plenty of signage, volunteers, pacers (not a pacer for what I was aiming for though), and "after party." At the finish they had water, soda, fruit cups, bananas and beer. They did not have gatorade at finish which I hoped for. They also said there was a pancake breakfast but I did not see one (I assume it was inside the building with the expo) but I didn't have stomach for it.

Overall: I had a good experience but I do enjoy a bigger race (it was lonely on second loop) so I personally would not do this one again...maybe for the half. There were actually more participants in the half than the full. The marathon had 163 finishers. But if you are coming from up north, this is a nice little marathon and right near the beach!
