For a first year race, this was great! There's definitely room for improvement though. Despite having registered November, I was unable to get the t-shirt I was supposed to because they were all out. They'll be shipping it to me later, but I'm not sure why there weren't enough when they asked for my size when I registered.

The parking situation and shuttles were great. It would have been nice to get a shuttle back to my car from the stadium. Normally it's not that bad of a walk, but after 13 miles and the construction in the area, I was tired and disoriented and wouldn't have minded a lift.

I was disappointed to be the last half finisher (and they knew I was the last) and have to go to the table to pick up my medal. Our bibs were clearly marked, so it should have been easy for one person to hang on to it. They had also stopped handing out blankets, and you could only get water.

The finish line was in an awkward place too, and because there was no local after party, by the time I got to the finish, there weren't many people there to cheer you on, despite the fact that the course was still open for a bit yet and the finish line open even longer.

The aid stations were amazing. I was thankful that gatorade and fruit were available at so many of them. It was also nice that some intersections had people there to direct traffic, but would have been nice to have more of those because in a few instances, I had to wait for cars. The lack of signage is my biggest complaint though. There were several spots on the course with no one and no signs around to guide you. If you were in part of the race that was stretched out, you were running/walking seemingly aimlessly at some points. Particulary spots that curved and forked at the same time, so you couldn't be sure which way was "straight". In one spot someone had market out arrows in sidewalk chalk, but they made it seem like I should turn when I shouldn't. There was also one very odd instance of cones blocking off the direction you were supposed to go, presumably because it was a parking lot with a driveway leading out that they didn't want cars using.

I think running this race in reverse next year will be a big improvement.

Great shirt, great medal, LOVED the train whistle!
