The overall experience is one of a kind. It is almost like the Woodstock of running. Everyone is friendly and having a sense of community while having a good time. There are 3 course on this race which is Green, Yellow, and Red. The Red & Yellow course are difficult. The Green course is very easy. Another interesting aspect is running at night in the woods which means zero visibility. I highly recommend this run to everyone.

This race has been going for so many years that they have it down to an exact science! There really aren't any hiccups with the expo or race. The scenery is amazing to cross a bridge to start then to run through a nice little neighborhood & waterfront where many residents come out and cheer you on. Then to cross another small bridge to run all along beautiful Bayshore Blvd. I try to do this run every year because it is so amazing!

I have ran this Marathon twice as I am a local resident and ran the Full one time then wanted to complete the Dopey Challenge once in my life so I had to do it for a second time to complete the challenge. I say "Meh" on this race because when you think of the Run Disney race you are lured in by the mystique of running your race through the parks but out of the 26.2 miles you run maybe 1 or 2 is actually done in a park. The rest is composed of Osceola Parkway, back roads, parking lots, and Wide World of Sports walkways. There are lots of spots where course cutters love to make the experience cheaper just so they can obtain a finishers medal which they feel entitled to even if they don't actually earn it because in their eyes they paid for the medal. That is a personal response and I understand many disagree that it doesn't cheapen the award. It is a great experience for one or two times but not an annual visit.

Their isn't an expo as you pick up the Bib & Goodies at the TPD main office but this keeps the costs down and shows that the intent is really to raise money for their cause. The course is a nice one through downtown Tampa. There is a nice feeling running along people who are out running for a good cause. I would highly recommend this race to everyone and especially beginners or families!
