The race location was absolutely gorgeous, right along the lake in Presque Isle State Park.

Organization up to the event was great, with detailed emails about parking, packet pick up times, etc.

However, day of fell a little flat for me. It was a small local race in cold weather, so there wasn't much of a crowd or much excitement to go around. No signs to show where packet pick-up would be, though the pick-up process itself was nicely streamlined.

Souvenir timing chip was a nice touch, and the race t-shirts are decent quality.

However, there were no aid stations along the course, so I was parched by the time I finished the 10K--only to find no water at the finish, either! Some people had water bottles, so either they bought them from the vending machine or they ran out by the time I finished the race. I headed out before awards so I could get some water!

A race finish line video was uploaded afterwards, which was pretty cool! No photos during the race, though.

In all, I personally wouldn't run this race again because water stations are a must for me and the energy overall was lower than I prefer.
