This was a great race to start the new year. The temperature was low but spirits were high. Online registration was easy. Day-of registration was also available and super fast although shirts were not guaranteed for late registrants.

The course was relatively flat and beautifully scenic. It did pass through some residential areas, where people did come out of their homes to cheer on runners and wish them a happy new year. I saw strangers congratulating and hugging each other at the finish.

Overall, it had a very friendly feel while being a legitimate time chipped race.
