This is the biggest race in the Tampa Bay area each year. 5k, 8k, 15k, half marathon, and even challenges where you can run multiple races over the weekend make it an event for all types of runners. The expo is pretty big and the race weekend brings out many running celebrities like Meb. One word of caution, though: the race starts at 6AM. Even if you live in the Tampa Bay area, I recommend getting a hotel for one night downtown so you don't have to wake up at 2AM to get there on time. Overall, I really like this race and encourage you to give it a shot.

I only did this race once, but it was such a fun experience. Sadly, they had to end it for logistical reasons. The course was super flat, and being in January meant great Florida weather for a half marathon PR. The swag was great and included a finisher hat that I still wear to this day on training runs. The post race was full of activities and food, making this a fun experience for the entire family. I really hope they come back with this race because it's in a great location at a great time of year.
