This was my first 26.2 and I could not have chosen a better first marathon. First off let me say how much I love Burlington VT in general. Leading up to the race, the expo was very good, quick, and efficient. They had a lot of great vendors and allowed an opportunity to for me to purchase the goods needed that I had forgotten. Lodging within the area is also very good, as they have shuttle transportation to and from the hotels, which made life easy.

The race itself was amazing (except the out and back on the highway within the first 13.1) but you get to run through Church st and experience the great fan support. One of the biggest perks of this race is how the locals go crazy for it! The scenery was great as you get to see many parts of Burlington as well as finishing along the water! Within the last 13.1 the races goes through neighborhoods and I do not think I would be able to finish without them, as they were so supportive and helpful!

Overall it was a great race, experience, and I would highly recommend it!
