Living in New Hampshire, this race was the perfect vacation destination race in January. We left single digit tempatrues to arrive to 60's and 70's in Key West. Everything is located within a couple mile radius, so getting to and from the race was a breeze. When we got to the expo, it was not large but it had everything you would want at an expo and packet pickup was easy. On race day, the weather was perfect and conditions were great. The course was amazing as the majority of time was spent on the coast and through the downtown area. It was like taking a running tour of the island. The aid stations were plentiful and easy to access. The long sleeved swag shirt worked out well with the weather temps as it did get a little cool and breezy. After the race, the medal was great and the after party was fun. They had a great live band which kept the party going and a good amount of Shipyard beer for everyone to enjoy. Overall I would recommend this race and will definitely be back!

Nice little race for some pre-turkey miles! Course was very flat and ran well. Overall it was a great 5k race, as the parking was easy in and easy out and the management of the race was done nicely! The t-shirt quality was great and everyone at the Track Shack was very helpful and nice! Overall, I would recommend this race to anyone!

I love Portland Maine and this race was awesome. The course gave multiple sights to the city as we got to see the Old Port district, some beautiful neighborhoods, and then finished the run along the ocean. Aid stations were well placed and the bathroom situation was great. Only knock that I have about the Shipyard races are that they do not include any free swag as the shirt must be purchased for a fee. All in all though, I would recommend this race.

This is the course where I was able to PR for the half-marathon time. The course difficulty was not bad and mostly flat with a few hills, but nothing serious. The course scenery was nothing special as some of the race was run on a busy road and then through some neighborhoods, but I was not expecting anything special from a scenery perspective going into the race. The swag was great, as they provide a nice fleece zip-up. I do wish they would introduce a better post race atmosphere with drinks outdoors instead of a beer ticket to a bar. Overall though good race!

I knew I was in for a challenge with this race, as it is a very hilly course and boy was that right. I will say, the scenery and great support from fans made the race and hills much easier. With the amount of runners and the road space, I was a little hesitant, however, it all worked out well and was not a problem. T-shirts were nicely designed but a cheap material. The post race vendors added for a great environment as well. Overall it was a nice challenging 10 miler!
