Really wanted to target a Trail/Mountain/Off Road Race before the end of the year and of course have an excuse to go Oversea's again (I am Australian) for the 3rd time this year :) XTERRA World Trail Run Championships was amazing, it ticked all the boxes for what I wanted, including the competition level, distance, terrain, ascent/decent, location and not to mention Mud! What I loved most about the course is you could still push and run similar to your race pace, of course it was slower but it was 'runable', and the trails were perfect! The also celebrated Age-groups and also paid prize money for the first 7 male and females across the line, which luckily I was one of them (6th Place). I am definitely coming back in 2018 and I cant wait!!!! x
