Right off the bat, I need to thank BIBRAVE for this race! It was because of the BibRave100 and the great reviews here, that led me to running this race for the first time. :)

A few things I want to specifically call out-
Normally I try to avoid races that bus you to and from the race itself. Just my preference, but I am not a fan. However, EC did this to PERFECTION. They had 4-6 buses running (at least that I saw), at all times. The line at the parking lot (FVTC) that I was at was quite long in the morning and I think I we waiting about 5-7 minutes total. It was also a quick trip back after the race as well.

I planned on taking this race easy, so I was able to really take in everything. The views of the river were gorgeous. Lots of beautiful bridges to run over. TONS of people cheering you on at almost all parts of the course. But the real star of this show is the Blue/Gold mile. I have heard so much about this that I was beginning to doubt if it could live up to the hype. It exceeded it! Around mile 10 you are met with a marching band, and the road narrows to where you are basically running through a ton of screaming fans cheering you on. I was running around a 9:45 ish pace, so there were lots of people who came through already. It would have been easy for people to start to get bored of cheering, but not them! THANK YOU to all those who participated!

The one downside I will say about this race is the hill at the end. For me, it was pretty brutal. It is in the last half mile and it takes you directly into the park where the finish was. Thankfully, they announced that they will be having a new route and a earlier starting time for the half (start time was 9:15).

It was a very sunny day that ended with a little bit of rain but that didn't stop all of the people cheering us on and all the volunteers.

Race shirt and medal were great.

A must run for everyone!

First the bad- Runner drop off was a mess. You had to be at the drop off spot where they bus you to the start line over an hour before the race. Normally, that isn't a huge deal but the buses were running behind and runners were left standing in the cold for quite a while at times. Bus drivers were very nice and helpful- wasn't their fault. Just need better organization.
Pretty much everything else about this race was awesome. Course was great. Lots of cheer stations! Fireworks to start the race! Highlight was the post race party to be sure. I have never seen a race with more free food/drinks for the runners. I literally left with what felt like a grocery bag full of stuff and I could have gotten way more! Awesome way to finish a really fun race!

Ran the half in 2018 where is was around 80 at race start. Course organizers did an awesome job ensuring there was enough water/fluids for everyone. It could have been really bad if they weren't as prepared as they were. Thank you!
Race is in Madison so you are going to get your fair amount of hills.
Nice Medal/shirt.

Very scenic out and back half marathon. Much of which is along the water on a paved bike trail. One very small uphill in the begging, rest is pretty much flat. Smaller late year race with some great SWAG! A nice coffee mug and candy apple FTW. Decent medal with a nice quarter zip long sleeve shirt as well.

My top 3 all time races I've ran. A Wisconsin staple and for good reason! Tons of people cheering. Running through some scenic neighborhoods was great. A couple of smaller hills, but nothing to challenging. Love races where the medals can combine to a bigger medal after getting a certain amount of them. (4 are needed) And let's not forget, RUNNING INSIDE LAMBEAU! Awesome way to finish the race and your friends and family in the stands! A very large turnout (for Wisconsin races), so be ready to run with a lot of people!
