2016 was my first time running City To The Sea Half marathon. Coming from SF, I was fortunate to stay with my friend who lives in Paso Robles. We started the race in downtown San Luis Obispo and headed toward Pismo Beach. I was surprised to find many hills toward the second half which reminded me of hills I would train on in San Francisco. This was an excellent challenge. There were several volunteers all throughout the course which was very nice and helpful, especially as they steered us in the right direction of the finish line. As we neared mile 10, the sight of the ocean was spectacular. When we finished, the organizers ran out of food which was disappointing. I think next year they should plan better on how many expected people are to finish, this way everyone who participated in the race has a chance to eat and drink beer. Overall, I will do this race again because they overall atmosphere was excellent.

This was my 5th Tinkerbell Half Marathon and I absolutely LOVE this race! From the expo to the finisher's circle, Run Disney knows how to organize an event. The race itself is so much fun the first 6 miles as you weave in and out of Disneyland and California Adventures. There are several stops to take pictures with the characters, as well as professional photographers along the course. The last 7 miles are somewhat boring as you run throughout Anaheim. It is not has mentally stimulating which can be a challenge. The course is pretty flat. I've PR'd this race a few years in a row. I can't wait for 2017!

It was a fun winter morning race! AND surprisingly warm for December. We started the 9k in the middle of the park and headed down toward the ocean. A truly beautiful scenic route throughout Golden Gate Park, and along the ocean. This was a somewhat challenging course due to the incline on the second half of the course. We ended the race near the start and the Hot Chocolate was delicious! I'm kind of disappointed about the organization from the race officials. The corrals were kind of a mess as people were crammed into tiny corrals based on their finishing time. I may be doing this race again, but now I know what to expect.
