Firstly, this race starts on South Beach, you will most likely have to park in a nearby parking garage unless you are lucky enough and early enough to find off street parking. One year I actually found off street parking close to the finish line, all other years I've had to find a parking garage in the area. Great views when you make it to the top of the Julia Tuttle Causeway, a very challenging two part bridge at the 3 mile of the race. After that the whole rest of the race is a breeze and only a few smaller bridges to climb before the finish line. Great finish line cheers and nice post race food options.

I have done the full course twice and the half marathon course once so far. Last time I did the full marathon I was 11 weeks pregnant and there was never a shortage of any water or food along the way which really helped me at the time. There is a lot of crowd support during the first half of the race and it can get a little empty till you get to the Coconut Grove where the support increases again. Overall I love this race and the views you get of different parts of Miami, from Downtown to South Beach through Brickell and the Grove.

This race starts at Jungle Island and loops around the Childrens Museum and over the McArthur Causeway to South Beach. I've also done the Freaky 4 Miler version of this race. One of the best parts of this race other than the great views of the cruise ships and sunrise on the beach was all the great costumed people you see on the course. The race runs up the serpentine to the boardwalk and then turns around and back down the boardwalk till you finish running up a steep hill in South Point Park. Great after party breakfast at Nikki Beach with lots of food options.
